Welcome to my first ever expense report! It is my goal with these reports to analyze where I am spending money on my business so that I can eliminate waste and capitalize on expenses that are bearing fruit.
This January wasn’t much different than previous January’s. I did not incur any unusual or extraordinary expenses during the month. I did take on a new listing towards the end of the month. My first listing of 2014.
With this new listing I hired a professional photographer to take HDR photos of the property so that I could really show off the features of the unit I had for sale. If you are not using a professional or HDR photos for your listings I highly recommend you try. My photographer takes 7 different exposures of each photo for a high resolution photo that will blow your mind.
I will be focusing heavily on the quality of my listings this year in order to maximize the sales price for my sellers and impress the heck out of them to the point that they can’t help but recommend me to their friends and family. I won’t be renewing this domain (because I got an offer in 4 days!) so you will only be able to see this domain in 2014. Below is just one example of how the photos look.
I also created a custom website for this listing as mentioned above and ordered special stickers to place on the for sale sign to draw people to the site when they saw the for sale sign. The bill for the stickers will be listed in February as it took some time for htem to be created. It is hard to say if these efforts are what drove the home to receive an offer in 4 days or not. One thing is for sure. The seller is very happy with the level of attention she is getting and that should translate into future business I hope.
